- Individuals as well as teams comprising working professionals have the opportunity to participate in this hackathon.
- Workplace ID proof is mandatory for participation in this hackathon.
- Participation in the hackathon can be done either virtually or in person at one of the Microsoft offices.
- In-person participation is open exclusively to the first 100 professionals, subject to confirmation from Microsoft.
- In-person participation for the first 100 professionals is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Only working professionals residing in India are eligible to participate in the hackathon.
- It is mandatory to use GitHub Copilot for the hackathon.
- Your solution must be developed entirely during the hackathon's duration.
- Participating ideas must be original and not duplicated. Only new and fresh ideas will be accepted as valid entries for the hackathon.
- The prize token of 1 lakh INR will be given to the chosen winner, one from each category.
- The Microsoft swag bags will be given to the chosen runner-ups from each category, one from each category.
- Winners will be chosen as per the judging criteria, and the decision will be solely at the judge’s discretion.
- The cash prize offer is entirely subject to confirmation from Microsoft.
- The intellectual property rights to your code will belong to the hackathon's organisers.
- By participating in the hackathon, you agree to receive communication from Microsoft and its partners.
- Maximum number of 4 individuals can register and participate as a team.
- All team members registered must be working professionals.
- Each team registered will be counted as one entrant.
- All members of the team will be eligible to participate in-person on confirmation by Microsoft.
- A common signup address has to be used by all team members to access GitHub Copilot. The GitHub Copilot trial version credits are non-transferable.
- Whether the team has two, three or four members the cash prize will be a consolidated amount of 100,000/-INR* to be shared accordingly.
- Swag bags will be given to all runner-ups, individual or team.
- Unless otherwise stated, all taxes, insurance, fees and surcharges on any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner; any applicable Tax Deduction at Source (TDS) or other applicable statutory charges will be applied on the prizes as per the prevailing laws in India.
All submissions will be judged on the following qualities:
- Clean and organised codes
- Easy-to-understand codes
- No bugs or errors
- Effective use of GitHub Copilot
- The solution must be stable, reliable, and user-friendly.
